The “12.05” platform submits its plan for structural changes to SDSM, seeks Filipche’s removal
On Friday, 2 October 2026, the “12.05” platform — also known as “Talks for the Future at 12:05” — submitted its package of proposals for structural changes in the party to the SDSM archive at the “Bihaçka” headquarters. The proposals were submitted by Igor Ivanovski, Slavjanka Petrovska and Kosta Nachevski, as the Press24 portal reports, together with 24 Info, Fokus, 4NEWS, 24 Vesti, Libertas and Zhurnal.
The platform representatives’ message was direct: “We hope these proposals reach the address of the one who can understand them.” According to the newspaper Vecher Press, the plan seeks the resignation of Venko Filipche and the current leadership, a new Congress, new leadership and a new party identity.
SDSM’s reaction, according to television 360 Stepeni, was harsh: instead of confidentiality, the content of the letter was published immediately in pro-government media. The party called the proposals “the ZNAM 2.0 programme for breaking the opposition” — a programme that aims to take control of and weaken the opposition front, not internal reform; “the party is not for sale,” the party’s reaction states.
In the background, the platform brings together former and current SDSM officials who are critical of Filipche, whom he had previously called “putschists” and part of a scheme to degrade SDSM. The latest developments signal an open clash within the party over its direction and political future.
