Tresoldi puts off choosing between Italy and Germany as Mancini hopes to sway him by 2027

Nicolò Tresoldi, the Club Bruges striker, has taken time over his decision on which senior national team to represent.

Italy still hopes for a final “yes” from Nicolò Tresoldi for the future of its attack. The Club Bruges centre-forward has reportedly decided to put off the decision until after the 2027 U-21 European Championship. A decision that keeps the door open for the Italian Football Federation and coach Roberto Mancini, who has recently made a personal move to persuade the player.

Tresoldi’s heart is split between two countries. He has a strong bond with his Italian roots, while his professional growth has come on German soil. The striker, born in 2004, will continue to wear the Germany U-21 shirt until the final choice is made.
