VILNIUS – Lithuania launches major national exercise to test wartime mobilization

VILNIUS – Lithuania has launched a major national exercise to test the country’s wartime mobilization system, state institutions announced.

The exercise involves state institutions, municipalities and civil defense structures across the country, simulating scenarios of crisis and armed conflict.

Officials said the drill aims to assess readiness, coordination and the speed of response in the event of a national emergency.

The exercise comes amid heightened security concerns in the Baltic region following Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine.
