Baltimore Ravens rookie Ja’Kobi Lane out several weeks with broken wrist

Ja’Kobi Lane, on the verge of his debut with the Baltimore Ravens, is expected to be sidelined for several weeks after suffering a broken wrist in the 41–23 win over the Indianapolis Colts.

According to NFL reports, journalists Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday that Lane will undergo further testing to determine the extent of the injury and the length of his recovery. In his first NFL game he recorded one catch on three targets for 11 yards; the Ravens selected him in the third round of the 2026 Draft, and the USC product had built expectations during summer workouts and camp.

Lane’s injury adds to the difficulties of Baltimore’s receiving corps, which also lost Zay Flowers in the same game to a hamstring problem. Devontez Walker was inactive due to a groin injury, and the team will now look for bigger contributions from LaJohntay Wester and Chris Moore to cover the gaps in the receiver group.

The Ravens (1-0) host the New Orleans Saints (0-1) in Week 2 of the season, and the team will need to adapt quickly to Lane’s absence. According to NFL reports, further medical evaluations are expected to determine the length of the absence and the player’s path back.
