Territorial reform in parliament on Thursday, Koçeku: There will be SP MPs who will vote against

MP Marjana Koçeku made public her vote against the new territorial reform, which is expected to be voted on in parliament on Thursday.

In a post on social media, Koçeku says she is convinced that other Socialist MPs may also oppose the draft law with their vote, despite the political consequences such a stance may bring.

“On Thursday, in the plenary session, the SP draft for the territorial reform will be voted on. Of course I will vote against. I am sure that in the ranks of the SP group there will also be MPs who will oppose this draft law with a responsible vote, despite the political consequences of disobeying the party’s order,” Koçeku writes.

The SP draft law envisages a reorganisation of the country’s administrative division and the creation of 46 municipalities.
