Iber-Lepenc Attack: Viçentijević Brothers and Igor Dimović Back Before the Court Today

The hearing against the three defendants in the attack on the “Iber-Lepenc” canal, which took place on November 29, 2024, in the village of Varagë, Zubin-Potok, continues today at 09:30 at the Palace of Justice in Pristina, as Klan Kosova reports.

Kosovo’s Special Prosecution charges all three defendants with unauthorized possession of weapons, while Jovan and Dragisha Viçentijević also face charges of endangering the constitutional order through the destruction of or damage to public installations and equipment, committing a terrorist act, and espionage, according to Klan Kosova’s reporting.

The indictment against the three defendants was filed on December 9, 2025, by the Special Prosecution and includes statements Jovan Viçentijević gave before the Prosecution. According to the indictment, Viçentijević stated that during September 14–23, 2023, he trained at the “Pasuljanske Livade” military range in Serbia, along with around 120 other people. The Prosecution says that at the same range, in September 2023, training was also conducted by the group of Milan Radoičić, whom Kosovo authorities have linked to the armed attack in Banjska, Zvečan, on September 24, 2023.

In the statement included in the indictment, Viçentijević, according to the Prosecution, said that another attack in Kosovo had been planned for October 2024 but was canceled. The indictment also mentions that the completion of the U.S. presidential elections had been awaited for carrying out that attack.

Among the evidence administered by the Prosecution is an expert analysis conducted by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, the FBI. According to the indictment, the analysis found that material found in the defendants’ boots had the same structure, color, and composition as the sample taken at the explosion site at the “Iber-Lepenc” canal. This analysis is among the evidence expected to be examined during the trial, alongside other evidence presented by the Prosecution and the defense.

The explosion at the “Iber-Lepenc” canal occurred on November 29, 2024, in Varagë, Zubin-Potok, and caused major damage to the canal, which supplies water to important parts of Kosovo and plays a role in energy production processes.
