Ivanka Trump drew attention at the state dinner hosted at the White House for Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife. The 44-year-old appeared in a long light-blue gown with crystal details, valued at $6,000, a creation by designer Georges Hobeika.

The dress had a structured bust while the embroidered details stood out, completing the look with bold makeup. In the evening she was accompanied by her 15-year-old daughter, who appeared in an elegant black dress.

The event held at the White House’s East Room was described as one of the most important evenings of the U.S. administration, in a meeting that comes against the backdrop of the complex relations between the United States and China.
