Kurti–Hamza meeting ends without an agreement
The meeting between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Bedri Hamza, has ended without any agreement being reached, according to sources of Klan Kosova journalist Qëndresa Tërshani. As Klan Kosova reports, the meeting lasted about two hours, and after it the PDK convened the party’s parliamentary group for discussions.
The meeting, according to Klan Kosova’s reporting, took place on the eve of the expiry of the deadline for electing the country’s new president — an issue on which the political parties are seeking consensus.
Also on the table, as Klan Kosova reports, was the vote on the bill amending the Law on the Specialist Chambers at second reading, after parliament approved it at first reading with 91 votes in favour.
The sources gave no further details on the reasons the agreement failed, while political developments are expected to continue in the coming days.
