Haradinaj at the protest: Failure to pass the law is a great misfortune, Belgrade is rejoicing
Daut Haradinaj, a member of the presidency of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, has joined the protesters in front of the Kosovo parliament building.
Haradinaj criticised the failure to pass the amendments to the Law on the Specialist Chambers, saying that such a development, according to him, gladdens Belgrade.
“Today was supposed to be a night of celebration, not of protest. That is what was intended, and it is a great misfortune to gladden Belgrade,” Haradinaj declared.
He also criticised the members of parliament, saying it is unacceptable for the institution not to approve the law, which, according to him, has been spoken about in the citizens’ name.
“Our parliament does not vote, from deputies who speak in our name. Be that as it may, the people are the ones who always decide and must do their duty,” Haradinaj said.
Haradinaj joined the protest at a time when the situation in front of parliament has grown tense, while the protesters are demanding that the amendments to the Law on the Specialist Chambers also be approved at second reading, as Telegrafi reports.
