Montenegro’s President Jakov Milatović, during a visit to educational institutions in Ulcinj, said investment in education must be one of the top priorities of the state and local authorities, stressing that every child, regardless of where they were born, must have equal opportunities to succeed.
Milatović visited the “Boško Strugar” and “Marshall Tito” primary schools, as well as the “Vëllazërim-bashkim” mixed secondary school, where he met with pupils, teachers and institutional leaders.
He saw pupils’ projects, their activities and how technology and creativity are being integrated into the educational process, while with graduates he discussed continuing education, career guidance and opportunities for the future.
“It is our obligation to provide every child with quality education and an equal chance to succeed,” Milatović said, adding that the place where a child is born should not determine the opportunities they will have in life.
The President stressed that Montenegro must create conditions for young people to build their future at home, offering them quality education, equal opportunities and a society where work, knowledge and talent are valued.
He praised Ulcinj for having talented and ambitious young people, who must be given the opportunity to turn their ideas into success.
During the visit, Milatović was accompanied by the Mayor of Ulcinj, Genci Nimanbegu, and his associates.
