North Macedonia’s Passport Ranked 38th in the World, Allows Travel to 130 Countries

North Macedonia’s passport ranks 38th in the global “Henley Passport Index,” allowing North Macedonian citizens to travel visa-free or with visa on arrival to around 130 destinations worldwide.

Citizens with RMV passports enjoy the greatest freedom of movement on the European continent, including all member states of the Schengen zone. On the other hand, for travel to countries such as the USA, Canada, Australia, as well as several Asian countries, obtaining an appropriate visa in advance is still mandatory.

Compared to the Western Balkan region, Serbia ranks slightly higher (34th place with access to 136 destinations).

Macedonia shares 38th place with Montenegro, whose passport allows entry to 128 to 130 countries. Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania are positioned lower on the list, ranking around 43rd, while Kosovo ranks 61st.

Citizens of neighboring countries, whose countries are members of the European Union, have significantly greater mobility. The Bulgarian passport offers visa-free entry to more than 175 countries and is positioned among the 15 most powerful in the world, while the Greek passport is at the top, among the five strongest global travel documents. /Telegrafi/
