“Oh, My Mother’s Son!” — Heartbreaking Scene in Saranda: Mother of 44-Year-Old Artan Myrtaj Arrives at the Crime Scene

Distressing scenes were recorded at the assassination site in the center of Saranda, moments after 44-year-old Artan Myrtaj was shot dead. The victim’s mother arrived at the scene and, upon seeing her son lying lifeless, burst into tears and screams, crying out “Oh, my mother’s son!”

In those moments of severe psychological shock, a woman present and a State Police officer tried to hold her and pull her away from the cordoned-off crime scene. Meanwhile, the investigative team continued its work of securing the area and collecting material evidence in the presence of dozens of citizens shaken by the event.
