PDK convenes Presidency and parliamentary group, Hamza expected to brief them on meetings with Kurti
The Presidency and the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) will hold a joint meeting today at 14:00 at the headquarters of this party.
As Telegrafi has learned, at this meeting the PDK chairman, Bedri Hamza, is expected to brief the members of the Presidency and the party’s MPs on the conclusion and outcome of the recent meetings held with the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti.
According to the information, the main topic of the meetings has been the Draft Law on amending the Law on the Specialist Chambers.
The PDK has expressed its readiness, after the approval of this Draft Law in two readings in the Assembly, to sit down and discuss an agreement on the election of the president, so that the country does not go to new elections.
After the meeting ends, Hamza is expected to address the media, where he is expected to set out the PDK’s position on the latest developments.
The meeting takes place at a time when the constitutional deadline for electing the president ends on 6 October, while in the absence of an agreement the country risks going to new elections.
