New wave of Israeli attacks in Gaza and the West Bank: killed and wounded in several incidents

A Palestinian was killed during Israeli shelling northwest of the city of Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip, as Al Jazeera’s live broadcast reports. It was the third deadly attack of the day in the war-ravaged territory, despite the one-year-old ceasefire agreement. Palestinians in Gaza have reported an increase in Israeli fire and air strikes across the enclave over the past week; Israeli forces still hold more than 60 per cent of the territory and carry out attacks almost every day.
Israeli forces carried out a series of strikes and building demolitions across the Gaza Strip, wounding several people: a Palestinian was wounded by a drone strike in the al-Shaikh Radwan neighbourhood; several people were hurt by a drone strike near the Abbad al-Rahman school in al-Saftawi, north of Gaza City; one person was shot near the al-Sanafour junction in the Tuffah neighbourhood; military vehicles opened fire east of al-Qarara, north of Khan Younis and north of Beit Lahiya; warships fired towards the coasts of Rafah and Gaza City; and the Israeli army carried out demolitions east of Gaza City, according to Al Jazeera.
In the occupied West Bank, Raafat Khairi Ahmed Abu Khalil, 41, was killed by Israeli soldiers at the Anab checkpoint east of Tulkarem. The Palestine Red Crescent Society said Abu Khalil was from the northern town of Attil and that Israeli forces were preventing its medics from reaching him. According to the UN, Israelis have killed at least 1,212 Palestinians in the West Bank since October 2023.
Israeli settlers set fire to a vehicle and attacked Palestinian homes in the town of al-Samou, south of Hebron. The official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that the illegal settlers entered the home of a Palestinian family, destroying its belongings and stealing money.
