UN – Lavrov: Russia will achieve its goals in Ukraine regardless of circumstances

NEW YORK, September 26 /ATSH-AFP/ – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov asserted today before the UN General Assembly that Russia would achieve its military objectives in Ukraine, «regardless of the circumstances».

«The objectives of the special military operation will be achieved, the threat to Russian security will be eliminated and peaceful life will return. This will happen regardless of the circumstances,» the minister declared at the UN General Assembly.

He accused Europe of systematically opposing a settlement to the conflict in Ukraine, in contrast, he said, with the position of the United States.

«Europe is doing everything in its power to prevent the peace talks desired by the Trump administration,» the minister said at the UN General Assembly.
