Woman Who Accused Jay-Z of Sexual Abuse at 13 Admits Her Claim Was False

A woman who accused Jay-Z of abusing her when she was 13 has formally declared that her claim was false.

The woman, whose identity has not been made public, filed a lawsuit in 2024 claiming she had been drugged and abused by Jay-Z, whose real name is Sean Carter.

In a statement filed in connection with the case on Thursday, she wrote: “Jay-Z never raped me. I never met or spoke with Mr. Carter. Mr. Carter never displayed any inappropriate behavior toward me.”

The woman, who is referred to in court documents under the pseudonym Jane Doe, also stated: “My allegations that Mr. Carter and Mr. Cobbs raped me while a third celebrity watched are false. There is no truth to any of my allegations against Mr. Carter.”

Jay-Z had categorically denied the allegations, calling them a “blackmail attempt” and describing them as “baseless, fabricated and scandalous accusations.”
