Aaron Judge’s significant return helps Yankees secure the 2026 playoff spot

The New York Yankees have secured a spot in the 2026 season’s playoff phase, for the third year in a row, even though star Aaron Judge missed more than three months. On the offensive side, the standouts were Ben Rice, who has recorded 38 homers and ranks among the best in MLB, as well as the post-deadline reinforcement Luis Garcia Jr. A novelty in the lineup was the arrival of shortstop George Lombard Jr., called up to the majors in early August and who showed promising signs for the future.
