Airports of Montenegro gave €86,515 to a private faculty in Budva for an air traffic laboratory
The Airports of Montenegro awarded €86,515 to a private faculty in Budva for the procurement of an air traffic control laboratory, following the approval of the company’s Board of Directors, the media in Montenegro reported.
The money was awarded to the Faculty of Business and Tourism in Budva, following a competition announced by the state-owned company. However, the company has not responded to questions about how many institutions applied, what criteria were used in selecting the winner and whether other public institutions submitted applications.
On August 11, the Airports of Montenegro published a public call for the allocation of sponsorships and donations, inviting institutions and organizations to apply for financial support for projects in education, culture, sports, health and humanitarian activities.
However, although the competition was open to all institutions, according to data published on the company’s website, only one institution was selected – the Faculty of Business and Tourism in Budva.
The amount of €86,515 is intended for equipping the air traffic control laboratory, which would be used for the practical training of students of this faculty.
