Another case of attempted cocaine sale near schools foiled, 26-year-old arrested (NAME)

A 26-year-old from Elbasan has been arrested in flagrante in Tirana, as part of the police operation codenamed “Perimetri”, on suspicion of selling and distributing narcotics near the security perimeter of schools.

The operation was finalised by specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section at the Tirana Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the services of Police Commissariat No. 4.

During a physical check, police officers found on citizen Xhuljan Muça, 26, a resident of Elbasan, dozens of doses of a suspected narcotic substance of the cocaine type.

According to the Police, the investigative actions suggest that the young man had obtained the narcotic substance and divided it into doses in order to sell and distribute it in various areas of the capital, including near schools.

During the check, the police also seized a cold weapon, a knife.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecution at the Tirana Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, for the criminal offences of “Production and sale of narcotics” and “Production, keeping, purchase or sale without a permit of cold weapons”.
