Caitlin Clark drops 27 as Sophie Cunningham hits three triples off the bench in Fever’s 96–77 win over Lynx

Indiana Fever beat the Minnesota Lynx 96–77 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Caitlin Clark was the team’s best with 27 points, while Sophie Cunningham provided valuable help off the bench with three made three-point shots.

According to Bleacher Report, Indiana took control in the first quarter, when after a 17–14 spell they closed the period on a 14–2 run and entered the second quarter with a 15-point lead. The Fever deepened the gap in the rest of the first half, at one point going up by 29 and taking a 57–34 lead into the break.

Minnesota responded in the third quarter, scoring 11 straight points and winning the quarter 30–14, cutting the deficit to seven before the start of the fourth. However, a Clark three-pointer at the start of the fourth quarter restored the double-digit lead; Indiana pushed the margin to as many as 16 late and kept control until the end. The Fever recorded 11 steals and 21 points off opponent turnovers, while the Lynx managed just five steals and 9 points off turnovers.

According to Bleacher Report, Minnesota dropped to 32–11 and sits 0.5 games ahead of the Golden State Valkyries for first place in the playoff standings, while the Lynx hold the head-to-head tiebreaker. Indiana improved to 28–15 and owns fifth place in the standings; the two teams will meet again in the final regular-season matchup on Thursday.
