Court of Appeals grants Ilir Meta’s request to leave the glass cage; here’s how the next hearings will proceed

The Court of Appeals, with judge Saida Dollani, ordered and granted Ilir Meta’s request to leave the glass cage and for his trial to proceed with his lawyer by his side.

Anila Hoxha reported that the decision was announced today, while at 3:30 p.m. Meta’s other request on the security measure will be reviewed.

Under today’s decision, Meta will take part in the judicial process with his lawyer beside him.

He left the cage for the case being reviewed by Saida Dollani, which concerns the detention deadlines.

The case had been postponed earlier, as the suspension of detention deadlines is being contested. Dollani took him out of the cage and seated him in the courtroom with his lawyer by his side.
