Fatal accident on the Bradashesh–Peqin road! Car hits elderly man on bicycle, 69-year-old dies

A serious accident with a fatal outcome was registered this Monday on the Bradashesh–Peqin road, near the village of Bradashesh.

According to police reports, 69-year-old Xhemal Çela lost his life while riding a bicycle, hit by an “Audi” vehicle with plate AA 089 DJ, driven by 18-year-old A.G.

After the fatal collision, the elderly man was transported to Elbasan hospital, but due to his grave health condition he was taken toward Trauma, where he did not survive the injuries sustained.

On the “Elbasan–Peqin” road, in the village of Bradashesh, the vehicle driven by citizen A. G., 18, hit citizen Xh. Ç., 69, who was riding a bicycle. As a result of the accident, citizen Xh. Ç. lost his life.

The driver of the vehicle, citizen A. G., was taken to the Police Station for further procedural actions.

The investigative group continues its work to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
