Koçiu on false bomb threat at school: “Criminal madness” — let the law act swiftly
Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu has reacted to the false bomb threat at a school in Tirana, harshly condemning the incident and calling it a criminal act.
In a social media post, Koçiu said such cases cannot be justified in the name of freedom of expression and demanded that the perpetrators face the law.
Full reaction:
“A false bomb alarm at a school in Tirana, on the first day of classes, when the schoolyards are packed with children, is not a bitter joke, not a cynical test of the State Police’s reflexes, nor a random slip of an immature mind — but a true criminal madness.
This kind of madness, so often tolerated under the alibi of an unrestrained ‘freedom’, has nothing in common with true freedom.
To those who peddle protest, who confuse freedom with the anarchy of their empty minds, turning our public space into a field of failed experiments — the law must show them very quickly that Albania is not a theatre where they can freely play their sick dramas.
Rejecting these abnormal behaviours must be the stance of the entire society.”
