Large Fire in Gjirokastër, Homes and Water Factory at Risk

A large fire has engulfed the area at the entrance to the village of Andon Poçi in Gjirokastër, creating danger for homes and a water factory located near the fire.

The flames spread rapidly, and the proximity to the inhabited area has alarmed residents, making the situation require immediate intervention by fire services.

Fire Service forces of the Gjirokastër MZSH Directorate are engaged with vehicles and personnel to isolate the fire and prevent the flames from spreading toward homes and facilities near the affected area. The intervention continues intensively, while firefighting teams are working to bring the situation under control.
