‘Ready for Mission’ – Joint Training Exercise by Albanian and U.S. Forces at Farkë Air Base
The Armed Forces of the United States and the Armed Forces of Albania conducted a training activity at Farkë Air Base and the Land Force Command.
In a statement on social media, the U.S. Embassy in Tirana said preparations were carried out to equip the cabins of UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters for medical evacuation missions, and patient-monitoring equipment was tested to provide onboard medical care in the future.
“Ready for mission in Albania! The Armed Forces of the United States and the Armed Forces of Albania conducted a training activity at Farkë Air Base and the Land Force Command, where preparations were made to equip UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter cabins for medical evacuation missions, and patient-monitoring equipment was tested to provide onboard medical care in the future. Major General Lisa Hou, Director of the Medical Services Office at the U.S. National Guard Bureau, visited the activity to closely follow the training and praised the professionalism and skills of Air Force personnel. This continued cooperation further strengthens the partnership between American and Albanian forces in support of real search-and-rescue operations,” the statement said.
