The Trial Panel has found that the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office managed to prove that the war crime of unlawful arrest was committed against at least 385 people.
This was stated by the presiding judge of the Trial Panel, Charles Smith.
The session is presenting the Trial Panel’s findings on the crimes alleged in the indictment.
“As for the count of ‘unlawful or arbitrary arrest or detention’, the Trial Panel has found that between April 1998 and June 1999, at least 385 people were arbitrarily deprived of their liberty by KLA members in several detention centres controlled by the KLA,” Smith stated.
