Albania U-21: Coach Bushi Names Squad for Ukraine Friendly, Four New Faces

The Albanian U-21 national team will continue preparations with another friendly match, as part of the road to the U-21 European Championship, “EURO 2027”. The Red and Blacks, led by coach Alban Bushi, will face Ukraine U-21 on October 5 at the “Szentmarjay Tibor Városi Stadion” in Eger, Hungary, at 15:30.

The squad’s gathering will begin on September 28 in Tirana, while coach Alban Bushi has published the list of 21 players invited for this match.

The list also brings four new faces, two of whom come from the U-19 national team. Mattia Huqi and Gabriel Kulla have been called up to the U-21 national team for the first time, while defenders Numan Ajetovikj, an Egnatia player, and Omer Bajraktari, a Malisheva player, have chosen to represent Albania.

The match against Ukraine is part of the U-21 national team’s preparation program for the 2027 U-21 European Championship. Albania U-21 will take part in the final tournament as one of the host countries.
