Ramadani: It is wrong to believe Kurti has good will, the Alliance read his game
Alliance MP Burim Ramadani has sharply criticized the meetings of the leaders of the opposition parties with Prime Minister Albin Kurti as part of the efforts to elect the country’s new president, as Gazeta Express reports.
According to Ramadani, these meetings were not aimed at reaching any political agreement. “It is wrong to believe that Kurti has good will. The meetings were never about an agreement. The meetings were about buying time and about photographs,” Ramadani said.
In his reaction, the Alliance MP writes that the LDK first, and then the PDK as well, fell into “Kurti’s game”, while the Alliance, according to him, “read the prime minister’s game”. “First the LDK fell into Kurti’s game, then the PDK too. His maneuvering. His manipulation. Both made a mistake. The Alliance stood straight! The Alliance remained the only one that read Kurti’s game. From the beginning to the end, the Alliance did not waver at all and told only the truth!” the reaction published today by Gazeta Express says.
Prime Minister Kurti met separately with PDK chairman Bedri Hamza and LDK chairman Lumir Abdixhiku, in search of a consensual name for president, ahead of the October 6 deadline set by the Constitutional Court. The Alliance refused the meeting with Kurti, while Ramush Haradinaj had earlier described these meetings as futile maneuvers.
