Who are the new faces in the Kosovo Assembly?
The counting of ballots from voting outside Kosovo, namely those received by mail, is continuing at the Counting and Results Center (CNR).
By Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 12:30, 39 ballot boxes had been counted, in which envelopes with ballots were placed after being previously approved by the voting service of the Central Election Commission (CEC).
With about 150 ballot boxes left to be counted, the situation regarding the lists of MPs is becoming clearer. The new legislature is expected to have a significant number of new MPs, with the majority coming from the list of the Vetëvendosje Movement, reports Telegrafi.
The former imam of Drenas, Osman Musliu , has already secured the mandate of deputy, with around 30 thousand votes won.
For the first time, Arton Konushevci , brother of the martyr Ilir Konushevci, is also expected to sit in the Assembly, having received over 27 thousand votes.
Actor Armend Baloku and activist Krenare Çerkini are also expected to secure the mandate of MP from the LVV list, as they have received enough votes to become part of the Kosovo Assembly.
Likewise, Valon Peci , brother of incumbent minister Faton Peci, is expected to be one of the new faces of the Parliament from the ranks of the Vetëvendosje Movement.
One of the early fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army and collaborator of Adem Jashari, Jakup Nura, will return to the Assembly after the several-month mandate he had exercised in 2025. With over 21 thousand votes, he already has the mandate of an MP secure.
In the Democratic League of Kosovo, Paris Guri is expected to return to the Assembly, after the short mandate he served in 2025.
Meanwhile, in the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, returns to the Assembly are expected, after Ardian Gjini and Daut Haradinaj have announced that they will give up their parliamentary mandates. / Telegraph /
